Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My schedule is very busy. Do I have to travel to your office every week?
A: I offer concierge services to accommodate various situations and busy schedules. For example, I meet with some clients in their offices or we can "meet" over secure Video. Online face-to-face video appointments means that you have access to therapy when you need it with no travel time involved. Read more about Online Therapy here.
Q: How quickly can I schedule an appointment?
A: I have some same-day and same-week appointments available. You will receive a response to emails and text messages within 2-hours and usually right away. Or, feel free to schedule your own an appointment right on this website.
Q: How often will we meet and how long does a therapy appointment last?
A: Counseling and therapy appointments are 45 minutes and are generally scheduled once per week. This will be personalized to you and your particular situation. I also offer 15 minute Phone Intensives which can be scheduled when you need them and text message exchanges as well.
Q: Do you take my insurance?
A: I am not a provider on any insurance panels. However, depending on your insurance company you may be entitled to partial reimbursement for appointments. I am considered an Out-of-Network provider, and will provide you with a special receipt called a “superbill” on a monthly basis. You may submit this receipt to your insurance company for possible reimbursement (which they will send directly to you). Some of my clients have received between 20-80% reimbursement depending on their insurance plan. Please contact your insurance company to ask if they will provide reimbursement for Out-of-Network psychotherapy/counseling. You may also pay for appointments with your Health Saving Account (HSA) Card, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).
Q: When will I finally feel better?
A: My goal is to give you hope from the beginning and new tools to use right away. All along the way you will begin to feel better as we create a roadmap with real tools to improve your life and ways to quell the anxiety. Therapy can help you to know what to do so that your self-esteem grows and achieving your goals becomes easier.
